Chu is a senior lithography artist and he had won the Top Prize of the Annual Shows of the Council for Cultural Planning and Developing for four times, which awarded his works the permanent approval afterwards. Chu's four prized art creations include Peace Makes Plenty in 1986, Blossom of Wealth in 1991, Good Fortune for New Year in 1992, and The Rooster King Stabilizes the Home in 1993. From 1997 to 2004, Chu participated in the "Lunar New Year Special Touring Exhibition", which was held by National Taiwan Craft Research And Development Institute in countries including the U.S., France, Italy and so on.
Chu has been devoted to teaching lithography art and restoration of the folklore arts and cultures to promote the New Year painting with unique Taiwan local culture.
