Working on suri-urushi for the Tang wood furniture as a part-time job since he was 14 , Peng was deeply influenced by several great masters, like Zai-Nan Chen, Qing-Shung Wang, and Kao-Shan Lai. Peng was trying to loosen the bonds of traditions since 1986 and applying the idea of semi-abstract in sculpture art on embossed lacquer works.
Peng's works have been invited to exhibit in Europe, Germany, France, US, Japan, etc. In 2006, Peng held the 14th Lacquer Art Exhibition for Japan Art Industry, and was awarded the President Prize of Japan Lacquer Craft Association.
