This set of works is about temple praying lanterns, drawing the theme of auspicious dragons dedicated in delight. The traditional folks believe that dragon is a symbol of honor and good fortune. “Dragon appears in the sky” is a great omen, and due to the dragon is with the cloud that can be refer to a symbol of " Timely Wind and Rain", should be responded to the writing “Peace and Prosperity” at the back, which is the common people’s pray for the same. Such type of works has been collected by more than 300 community leaders, including Vice President Hsieh Tung-Min, Nobusuke Kishi, Shieh Guan-Sheng, Kung Te-Cheng ... etc.
The works also have the feature of temple hanging, leading matter for folk temple activities, soothing for the soul and watching for joy. They are in the form of Quanzhou style straight down lights, hand-woven bamboo structure with fixed lamp shade, removable wooden circular bottom with bamboo gantry. The body sides are respectively painted dragon, and written peace and prosperity in red. The Azure Dragon is painted base on the folklore expression “Nine resemblances and Three joints”, calligraphy font is classified as the super round body, they are masterpieces of Wu Tun-Hou’s handmade paintings.
